Mrs. Irma Jean Chapman, 86, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Wednesday, July 13, 2022, at Wayne General Hospital in Waynesboro, MS. She was born in Waynesboro, MS on Tuesday, October 8, 1935, to the late Edwin O. Smith and Mattie Cochran Smith. She was a member of Chapparal Baptist Church. She was retired as a Factory Worker at Wells Lamont. Mrs. Chapman is preceded in death by her husband, J. T. Chapman; parents, Edwin O. and Mattie C. Smith; brother, Lavelle Smith; sister, Lucille Lindsey. She is survived by her three sons, Grover Hollingshead (Kathy), James Hollingshead (Sue) both of Waynesboro, MS, David Hollingshead (Kim) of Leakesville, MS; daughter, Kathy Robinson (Rusty); two step daughters, Linda Cran (William), Michelle Keyes (Eddie); brother, Willys Smith; three grandchildren, Jerry Matthew Pitts (Ashley), Paige Hollingshead all of Waynesboro, MS, Joshua Hollingshead (Annebeth) of Marion, MS; 8 great grandchildren; a host of step grandchildren and great grandchildren. Visitation for Mrs. Chapman will be held from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Friday, July 15, 2022, at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, July 15, 2022, at Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro, MS with Rev. Fawzy Shorrosh officiating. Interment will be in White House Cemetery in Waynesboro, MS.
