Mr. Howard Griffin, 80, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Monday, December 26, 2022 at Wayne General Hospital in Waynesboro, MS. He was born in Jones County, MS on Saturday, May 23, 1942 to the late Marvin D. and Fannie Griffin. He was a member of Maynor Creek Assembly of God Church where he served as deacon. He was retired from Masonite Corporation in quality control. Mr. Griffin is preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Griffin; parents, Marvin D. and Fannie Griffin; brother, Alvia Griffin; two sisters, Sandra Odom, Myrtle Orweta Smith. He is survived by his two sons, Milton Griffin, Marvin Griffin (Regina); daughter, Cindy Cooper (Mike); four grandchildren, Michael Ann Harmon, Kendall Thornton (Jimbo), Savannah Walker (Jeremy), Mason Griffin, all of Waynesboro, MS; four great grandchildren, Morgan Harmon, Laura Kate Thornton, Lydia Thornton, Landry Thornton; a host of nieces and nephews. The family would like to give special thanks to Mr. Howard's coffee drinking buddy and special friend, Diane McLain. Visitation for Mr. Griffin will be held from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, December 29, 2022 at Maynor Creek Assembly of God Church, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, December 30, 2022 at Maynor Creek Assembly of God Church in Waynesboro, MS with Rev. Bruce Cooley, Rev. Marvin Griffin, and Rev. James Stacey officiating. Interment will be in Christian Fellowship Cemetery in Waynesboro, MS.
