Mrs. Hazel Diane (Clark) Smith, 76, of Clara, MS passed from this life Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at her residence. She was born in State Line, MS on Monday, January 2, 1950, to the late Nonie Alonzo Clark and Ollie Pearl (Ezell) Clark. She retired as an office manager at Gulfport Memorial Hospital. Diane was a devoted wife, mother, and big sister, with the most loving spirit that was known by anyone who knew her. Mrs. Smith is preceded in death by her first husband, Ray Johnson; second husband, Tracy Dale Smith; parents, Nonie Alonzo Clark and Ollie Pearl (Ezell) Clark; five brothers, Robert E. Lee Clark, N.A. Clark, Harry Clark, Howard Clark, and Harold Clark; sister, Angela Clark. She is survived by her son, Ronald Scott Johnson of Clara, MS; brother, Nonie Dewayne Clark (Marla) of Waynesboro, MS; three sisters, Daisy Louise Rhom of Spartanburg, SC, Ella Pittman of Buckatunna, MS, and Sonja Dumas (Steve) of Clara, MS; a host of nieces and nephews. A Private Celebration of Life for Mrs. Smith will be held in the Evergreen Cemetery in Gulfport, MS.
