Mr. Grover Scott Overstreet, 62, of Mobile, AL passed from this life Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at University of South Alabama Medical Center in Mobile, AL. He was born in Baytown, TX on Tuesday, March 19, 1963, to the late Cecil Arnold and Nola Grace Overstreet. Scott was the owner and operator at Sentry Insulation. He was known for his playful spirit and his steadfast nature. Throughout his life, he often found himself stepping in during moments when others needed support, and he carried a desire to be helpful, always wanting to lend a hand to those in need. Scott is preceded in death by his parents, Cecil Arnold and Nola Grace Overstreet; grandson, Lawson Lee. He is survived by two daughters, Brandy Sweebe (Donavin) of Saraland, AL and Brittany Lee (Brent) of Laurel, MS; stepson, Brian Lee (Bethany) of Fairhope, AL; brother, Cecil Craig Overstreet (Patrick Lyn) of Arlington, MA; 10 grandchildren, Robbie, Ava, Nate, Liam, Brodie, Emily Grace, Grayson, Addisyn, Lexi Kate, and Barrett; special and devoted friends, Butch and Gail McRae among many others. Visitation for Scott will be held from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 6:00 PM Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro, MS with Rev. Ken Beasley and Sis. Martha Sikes officiating. Interment will be in Zion Rest Cemetery in Buckatunna, MS. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Red Creek Volunteer Fire Department, 483 Jolly Odom Road, Millry, AL 36558 in loving memory of Scott.
