Mr. Gerry Wayne Davis, Sr., 72, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Tuesday, July 4, 2023 at South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel, MS. He was born in Waynesboro, MS on Tuesday, May 22, 1951 to the late Hubert Gray Davis and Sarah Katherine Davis. He retired as a tool pusher in the Oil Field. Mr. Davis is preceded in death by his parents, Hubert Gray Davis and Sarah Katherine Davis; sister, Martha Sue Davis. He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Nancy Davis of Waynesboro, MS; two sons, James Randall Davis (Angela) of Texas, Gerry Wayne Davis, Jr.; four brothers, Gerald Davis (Maxine), Larry Davis (Stacey), Lonnie Davis, Kerry Randall Davis; sister, Margaret Lou Davis, all of Waynesboro, MS; three grandchildren, Gage Davis, Dolton Davis, Nicolas Davis, all of Texas; 1 great grandchild; a host of nieces and nephews; special friend, J. O. Phillips of Waynesboro, MS. A Graveside Service for Mr. Davis will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, July 6, 2023 at Davis Family Cemetery in Waynesboro, MS with Rev. Ryan Powers officiating. Interment will be in Davis Family Cemetery in Waynesboro, MS.
