Mr. George Giles, 87, of Laurel, MS passed from this life Friday, November 4, 2022 at South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel, MS. He was born in Wayne County, MS on Friday, February 1, 1935 to Miles Giles and Mary Elizabeth Evans Giles. He was a member of Coyt Baptist Church. He served in the United States Army Reserves. He was an avid fan of High School and Ole Miss Football. He worked as a Production Superintendent at Getty Oil - Texaco. Mr. Giles is preceded in death by his father, Miles Giles; mother, Mary Elizabeth Evans Giles; brother, Bill Giles; four sisters, Katherine Giles Davis, Louise Giles Brown, Ouida Giles McLaughlin, Voncile Giles Holland. He is survived by his wife, Amanda Sinclair Giles, Laurel, MS; son, Marlon Giles, Waynesboro, MS; daughter, Michele Giles, Houston, TX; stepson, Matt Everette, Laurel, MS; stepdaughter, Angie Fletcher (Wayne), Laurel, MS; two step grandchildren, Kate Fletcher, Samuel Fletcher. Visitation for Mr. Giles will be held from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro, MS with Dr. Billy Dowdy and Rev. Bill Hayes officiating. Interment will be in Coyt Cemetery in Wayne County, MS.
