Mr. George W. Clements, 91, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Monday, September 12, 2022 at his residence in Waynesboro, MS surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Washington County, AL on Tuesday, March 31, 1931 to the late Noel O. Clements and Mildred E. Clements. Mr. Clements served in the United States Army and was a Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Waynesboro. He was retired as a Chemical Operator at Ciba-Geigy Corporation for 37 years. Mr. Clements is preceded in death by his parents, Noel O. and Mildred E. Clements; daughter-in-law, Sandra Diane Clements; two brothers, James Clements, Luther Clements; sister, Mary Ellen Carpenter; step grandchild, Jeremy Caleb Jones. He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Geneva J. Clements of Waynesboro, MS; three sons, George D. Clements (Judy), Douglas Kurt Clements (Jeanine), Gerald Dwayne Clements (Amy) all of Millry, AL; two step sons, William Dennis Jones (Denise) of Senoia, GA, Gary Dewayne Jones (Donica) of Waynesboro, MS; step daughter, Deborah Lynn (Shivers) Dearman (Mike) of Waynesboro, MS; three grandchildren, Christopher Noel Clements (Leanna), James Casey Clements (Courtney), Brittany Sullivan (Anthony); eight step grandchildren, Sandy Kleist (Doug), Wes Rhoad (Amy), Whitney Farmer (David), Katelyn Jones, Lynnsey Dearman, Matt Dearman (Carly), William Paul Jones, Jamie Dearman; 8 great grandchildren; 6 step-great grandchildren. Visitation for Mr. Clements will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro, MS with Rev. Jim McEachern officiating. Interment will be in Kimbrough Cemetery in Millry, AL.
