Mr. Garland "G. C." Cochran, Jr., 79, of Waynesboro, MS passed away Sunday, January 2, 2022 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, MS. He was born in Waynesboro on Sunday, November 1, 1942 to Garland Cochran, Sr. and Rennie Mae Bunch Cochran. He was a member of Harvest Temple Church of God.  He had worked as a Mechanic at Kimberly-Clark and served in the Mississippi National Guard. Mr. G. C. is preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Cochran; father, Garland Cochran, Sr. and mother, Rennie Mae Cochran; son-in-law, Brent Hutto; two brothers, O'Neal Cochran, Elvin Cochran; sister, Mildred Waites. He is survived by his son, Ricky Cochran (Tammy), Waynesboro, MS; daughter, Candice Jones (Ken), Waynesboro, MS; two sisters, Rhudean Freeman and Ruby Lama, both of Metairie, LA; four grandchildren, Jared Cochran (Dalyn), Ali Cochran (Parker Watson), Dawson Jones, Kenadi Jones, all of Waynesboro, MS. Visitation for Mr. G. C. will be held at 5:00 PM, Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at Harvest Temple Church of God, 111 Turner Street, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, January 6, 2022 at Harvest Temple with Rev. Floyd Mills and Rev. Edward Bean officiating. Interment will be in White House Cemetery.
