Mrs. Evelyn "Chick" Crager, 64, of Chatom, AL passed from this life Saturday, September 23, 2023, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Crescent City, CA on Saturday, February 7, 1959, to the late I. C. and Imogene Crager. She was a member of New Haven Baptist Church. She retired as a Clerk at United States Postal Service. Chick is preceded in death by parents, I. C. and Imogene Crager; two sisters, Barbara Harris, Patricia Perry. She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Jesse Leon Crager of Chatom, AL; two sons, Jason Crager (Terra) of Chatom, AL, Elliot Crager (Nikki) of Waynesboro, MS; grandchildren, Jaxon Tiner, Graham Tiner, Logan Crager, Makayia Crager, Eastyn Crager; two cousins, Lisa Connell of Chatom, AL, Anna Coe of Sutherlin, OR; a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation for Chick will be held from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Monday, September 25, 2023, at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, September 25, 2023, at Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro, MS with Rev. Lamar Loper and Rev. James Saucier, Jr. officiating. Interment will be in New Haven Cemetery in Millry, AL.
