Mr. Elton Delon Davis, 79, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Friday, September 20, 2024, at his residence. He was born in Waynesboro, MS on Wednesday, February 7, 1945, to the late Willie Stance and Olazell Davis. He retired as a Truck Driver for Mar-Jac Poultry. Mr. Davis is preceded in death by his parents, Willie Stance and Olazell Davis; daughter, Karen Henke; brother, Elliot Davis. He is survived by his two sons, Elton Dwayne Davis and Spencer Davis (Heather), both of Waynesboro, MS; two daughters, Pam Lennon (Mark) of Zebulon, GA and Lisa Jones (Joe); eight grandchildren, Dillon Henke, Samuel Henke, Rebecca Lennon, Ryan Lennon, Henley Davis, Easton Davis, Sawyer Davis, and Logan Bryant Davis. Visitation for Mr. Davis will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Saturday, September 21, 2024, at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, September 22, 2024, with a lie in state from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM, at Coyt Baptist Church in Waynesboro, MS with Spencer Davis officiating. Interment will be in Coyt Cemetery in Wayne County, MS.
