Mrs. Ellen L. Gray, 80, of Morton, MS passed from this life Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, MS. She was born in Morton, MS on Tuesday, July 21, 1942 to the late J. T. and Ola Ree Carpenter. She was a retired Teacher for the Wayne County School Board in Buckatunna, MS. Mrs. Gray is preceded in death by her parents, J. T. and Ola Ree Carpenter; husband, Floyd Gray; two brothers, Bernie Carpenter, Milton Carpenter; three sisters, Doris Pace, Rosie Register, Joanne McNair. She is survived by her son, Joe Thrash of Morton, MS; sister, Ina Faye Bailey of Pulaski, MS; granddaughter, Lacy Anderson of Morgan City, LA; five great grandchildren, Kyla, Kaidance, Traci, Trae, and Delilah. Visitation for Mrs. Gray will be held from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS 39367.
