Obituary

   Mr. Edwin Milton Logan, Jr., 78, of Shubuta, MS passed peacefully from this life Saturday, October 3, 2026, at his residence surrounded by his loving family and friends. He was born in Laurel, MS on Friday, August 6, 1948, to the late Bud and Sue Logan. He was a member of Hephzibah Baptist Church. He retired as a contractor for the United States Postal Service.

   Mr. Logan is preceded in death by his wife, Therina Logan; parents, Bud and Sue Logan; two sisters, Peggy Manasco and Betty Jo Butler. He is survived by three sons, William Everette James of Quitman, MS, William Preston James of Eucutta, MS, and Milton L. Logan of Shubuta, MS; daughter, Melissa Manasco (Jimmy) of Shubuta, MS; grandchildren, Everette James, Christina James, Dillion James, Jada James, Jeremy James, Joey Mozingo, Jessica Roberson, Jonathan Bryant, Travis Logan, Duke Logan, Brittany Logan, and Lil Bud Logan; a host of great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

   Visitation for Mr. Logan will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS 39367. A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at Zion Rest Cemetery in Eucutta, MS with Rev. Keith Stewart and Rev. William Chancellor officiating. Interment will be in Zion Rest Cemetery in Eucutta, MS. Pallbearers are Lil Bud Logan, Joey Mozingo, Jonathan Bryant, Duke Logan, Johnny Wright, and Greg Revette. Honorary Pallbearers are Clyde Revette and Raymond Revette.

   Mr. Logan's family would say a special thanks to Compassus Hospice for all the compassion shown and helping keep their father, grandfather, and great-grandfather comfortable in his time of need.
