Mrs. Edna E. Trigg Gatlin, 88, of Ellisville, MS passed from this life Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at Brookwood Villa Personal Care Home in Waynesboro, MS. She was born in Quitman, MS on Thursday, January 28, 1937, to the late Lucille and Bert Trigg. She was a member of West Ellisville Baptist Church. She enjoyed volunteering with the ARC of Mississippi. She loved to cook for her family, where they loved to eat all that, she cooked. She liked to sew and do cross word puzzles in her spare time.

Mrs. Gatlin is preceded in death by her husband, Preston Ray Gatlin; parents, Lucille and Bert Trigg; two brothers, Billy Trigg and Calvin Trigg. She is survived by her two sons, Steven Ray Gatlin of Ellisville, MS and Kavin Gatlin (Lisa) of Laurel, MS; daughter, Tammy Gatlin Cooper (Dr. Randy) of Waynesboro, MS; sister, Bonnie Shoemake of Pleasant Grove, MS; six grandchildren, William Kurtis Gatlin (Tiffany) of Ellisville, MS, Danielle Tanney (Ethan) of Oak Grove, MS, Brayden Gatlin, Logan Pitts, both of Laurel, MS, Bryce Leland Cooper, Baylee Rachelle Cooper, both of Waynesboro, MS; 3 great granddaughters.

Visitation for Mrs. Gatlin will be held from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Saturday, March 22, 2025, at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, March 22, 2025, at Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro, MS with Rev. Jim Taylor and Rev. Phillip Gandy officiating. Interment will be in Serenity Gardens Cemetery in Waynesboro, MS.
