Mrs. Edna Fay McCarty, 79, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Friday, July 10, 2020 at Brookwood Villa Personal Care Home in Waynesboro, MS. She was born in Waynesboro, MS on Thursday, July 11, 1940 to Roy Walker and Ruby L. Walker. She was a member of Big Creek Baptist Church. Mrs. McCarty is preceded in death by her husband, Albert Ray McCarty; father, Roy Walker; mother, Ruby L. Walker; brother, Jonnie Walker; sister, Doris Hutto; step sister, Alton Carr. She is survived by 2 sons, Jeffery McCarty (Rhonda) of Clara, MS, Darrell McCarty (Dina) of Pachuta, MS; 2 daughters, Virginia Scarbrough (Manuel), Sharon Moore (Tim) both of Waynesboro, MS; 2 brothers, Allen Walker, Bobby Walker (Alice Faye) both of Waynesboro, MS; 10 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren. Graveside Service for Mrs. McCarty will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, July 12, 2020 at Willie McCarty Cemetery in Waynesboro, MS with Rev. Mitchell Smith officiating. Interment will be in Willie McCarty Cemetery in Waynesboro, MS. Pallbearers are Thomas Moore, Chad McCarty, Michael McCarty, Justin McCarty, Dalton Scarbrough, and Nathan McCarty.
