Mr. Edgar Leon Deese, 82, of Fruitdale, AL passed from this life Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at his residence. He was born in Lucedale, MS on Saturday, April 15, 1939 to Jessie N. Deese and Velma Byrd Deese. He was a member of Yellow Pine Baptist Church. He retired as Tool Pusher in the Oilfield. Mr. Edgar is preceded in death by his wife, Lenora Deese; father, Jessie N. Deese; mother, Velma Byrd Blackmon; two brothers, Leroy Deese, Jessie Deese, Jr, granddaughter, Lexy Deese. He is survived by his three sons, Kevin Deese (Karen), Fruitdale, AL, Mark Deese (Marie), Philadelphia, MS, Sean Deese (Lisa), Leakesville, MS; two daughters, Michelle Breland (Mark), Purvis, MS, Marisa Hoffman (Jim), Leakesville, MS; half-brother, John Deese (Jacquelyn), Fruitdale, AL; sister, Mary Ethel Robbins (Doug), Grand Bay, AL; five half-sisters, Diane Touchstone (Mike), Millry, AL, Rita Cochran (Thomas), Buckatunna, MS, Tina Saltzman (Dave), Atlanta, GA, Clarice Dail (J. T.), Buckatunna, MS, Mary Ann Deese, Fruitdale, AL, 10 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren. Visitation for Mr. Edgar will be held from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, Saturday, September 4, 2021 at Yellow Pine Baptist Church, Yellow Pine, AL. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, September 4, 2021 at Yellow Pine Baptist Church with Rev. Wade Turner officiating. Interment will be in Williams Cemetery in Washington County, AL.
