Mr. Edgar L. "Buck" Waites, 87, of Millry, AL passed from this life Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at Washington County Hospital in Chatom, AL. He was born in Millry, AL on Thursday, August 22, 1935 to the late James S. and Nancy Jane (Dearman) Waites. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. He was retired from Ciba-Geigy Corporation in the Maintenance Department in McIntosh, AL. Mr. Waites is preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca S. Waites; parents, James S. and Nancy Jane Waites; daughter, Rowena Waites; two brothers, James W. Waites, Eugene Waites. He is survived by his daughter, Roxie Odom (Mike); grandson, James Leon Odom, all of Millry, AL; three great grandchildren, Grace Howell, Kynleigh Rose Blanchard, James Evan Odom, all of Chatom, AL; special niece, Janet Waites of Providence, RI; a host of nieces and nephews. Graveside Service for Mr. Waites will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, November 3, 2022 at Lewis Chapel Cemetery in Buckatunna, MS with Rev. I. D. Sullivan officiating. Interment will be in Lewis Chapel Cemetery in Buckatunna, MS.
