Mr. Earl D. Shirley, 74, of Quitman, MS passed from this life Thursday, May 19, 2022, at his residence. He was born in Shubuta, MS on Thursday, May 6, 1948, to the late Milton and Hazel Shirley. He was retired as a Welder at Gulf State in New Orleans, LA. Mr. Shirley is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Redina Kinchen; two brothers, George Shirley, Johnny Shirley; two sisters, Ora Mae Fagan, Mildred Beckman; grandson, R. J. Wigginton. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Maudie L. Shirley, Quitman, MS; three sons, Kenneth Earl Shirley (Lindsay), Quitman, MS, John Louis Shirley (Natasha), Laurel, MS, David Walters (Brandy), Ellisville, MS; two brothers, Harold Shirley, Shubuta, MS, Milton E. Shirley, Quitman, MS; sister, Jean Broadway (Jimmy), Waynesboro, MS; 8 grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews. Mr. Shirley's family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
