Mr. Douglas Beasley, 73, of State Line, MS passed from this life Tuesday, October 27, 2026, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Waynesboro, MS on Saturday, June 27, 1953, to the late Barkley and Madie Mae Beasley. He retired as a self-employed brick mason.

   Mr. Beasley will always be remembered as one of the finest brick layers around, starting his career at the age of 15. He taught many the art of brick laying with his son and Son-In-Law following his footsteps. Douglas loved to ride Tennessee Walking Horses, winning many competitions over the years. He was an avid animal lover, especially his dogs and chickens. Douglas enjoyed spending time with anyone that was willing to sit around and talk. He loved going to the Lucedale Stockyard and the Waynesboro Court House parking lot sales every weekend either buying or trading something. His family will especially remember him as one of the hardest working men around.

   Mr. Beasley is preceded in death by his parents, Barkley and Madie Mae Beasley; brother, Gene Beasley. He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Janet Beasley; son, Henry Bealey (Candace), all of State Line, MS; three daughters, Jenice Hammond (Ashley) of Laurel, MS, Nicky Thompson (John) of Buckatunna, MS, Becky Singley (Matt) of Millry, AL; stepson, J. B. McDuffie (Matese), Joseph McDuffie (Jaimy), all of Powell, MO, and John McDuffie of Firestone, CO; stepdaughter, Jennifer Shadwick (Michael) of Howe, OK; brother, Elvis Beasley (Betty) of Waynesboro, MS; three sisters, Mona Lisa Deese of State Line, MS, Phyllis Grace and Teresa Spear, both of Jack, AL; grandchildren, Tyler Beasley, Trevor Beasley, Tucker Beasley, Sara Beasley, Victoria Brown, Bridgette Gardner, David Gardner, Ezra McDonald, Shane Singley, Zayden Singley, Sara Shadwick, and Clayton Shadwick.

   A Memorial Graveside Service for Mr. Beasley will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, November 7, 2026, at Chason Cemetery in Wayne County, MS with Rev. John Brown officiating. Interment will be in Chason Cemetery in Wayne County, MS.
