Mrs. Dorothy Beard Parker, 88, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Thursday, February 20, 2025 at Pine View Health and Rehabilitation. She was born in Waynesboro on Tuesday, December 22, 1936 to Mabry Ollie Beard, Sr. and Madie C. Beard. She was a member of Waynesboro First United Methodist Church. Mrs. Dot was an active member of the Order of the Easter Star, Ladies Auxiliary VFW, Wayne General Hospital "Pink Lady" volunteer, and served on several community boards. She retired as a Nutritionist in Food Service. Mrs. Dot is preceded in death by her husband, Charles H. Parker; father, Mabry Ollie Beard, Sr.; mother, Madie C. Beard; two brothers, Mabry Ollie Beard, Jr., Hurstler "Herky" Beard; sister, Jimmie O'Nell Dunagin. She is survived by her two sons, Charles K. Parker (Tammie), Brandon, MS, Robert H. Parker (Amanda), Waynesboro, MS; daughter, Debra Dearman (Robert), De Kalb, MS; sister-in-law, Evelon Beard, Waynesboro, MS; 6 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Visitation for Mrs. Dot will be held from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 22, 2025 at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, February 22, 2025 at Freeman Funeral Home in with Rev. Ron Stanley officiating. Interment will be in Hebron Cemetery in Wayne County, MS.
