Mrs. Dorothy B. McKay, 93, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Thursday, May 8, 2025, at South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel, MS. She was born in Alabama on Saturday, April 9, 1932, to the late Zola Ree and William Hardy Bishop. She was a member of Philadelphus Presbyterian Church. She retired as a bookkeeper at Ramey's Grocery Store. Mrs. McKay is preceded in death by her husband, Paul E. McKay; parents, Zola Ree and William Hardy Bishop; daughter, Patricia D. Andrews; granddaughter, Amber McKay; grandson, Brent H. Hutto; two sisters, Grace Davis and Bessie Fleming; brother, Joel Bishop; great granddaughter, Amber Mendoza. She is survived by two daughters, Paula Breland (Steve) of Laurel, MS and Ellen Hayes (Johnny) of Waynesboro, MS; son, Eddie McKay of Ellisville, MS; sister, Ann Stanley of Pensacola, FL; 7 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren. A Graveside Service for Mrs. McKay will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at Philadelphus Cemetery in Waynesboro, MS with Rev. Philip McRae officiating. Interment will be in Philadelphus Cemetery in Waynesboro, MS.
