Mrs. Doris Mae Pitts Hudson, 93, of Waynesboro MS, passed away from this life Wednesday September 11, 2024 in the comfort of her home surrounded by love. Mrs. Doris was born in Waynesboro on May 14, 1931 to Maudie Martin Pitts and Earlie Pitts.

Doris and Norman Hudson were married in 1973. She is survived by her two daughters, Dianne Chancellor Ralls and Betty Chancellor Beasley, son-in-law, Mike Beasley; five bonus children, Shirline Hudson Masiel, Robert Hudson, Ronald Hudson, Richard Hudson, Rocky Hudson; 16 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren; and 7 great-great grandchildren.

Mrs. Hudson retired from Boeing Aircraft Company in 1993. She moved back home to Waynesboro where she was a beloved daughter, mother, sister, wife, grandmother, and friend. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Waynesboro, where she was also a member of the Seniors Club. Doris also belonged to the Women's Club of Waynesboro, and the Quilting Club where they made many beautiful quilts. She loved to sew, bake, cook, and garden. Mrs. Doris is preceded in death by her husband, Norman Milton Hudson; parents, Maudie and Earlie Pitts; sister, Eva L. Pitts; brothers, Roland Pitts, Archie Pitts, Bennie Pitts, Jr. Pitts, and Robert Pitts. She will be missed by her family, friends, and her cat Tom.
