Mr. Donald Bruce Smith, Sr., 71, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Friday, April 14, 2023 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Oilton, OK on Friday, May 4, 1951 to the late Leslie and Opal Smith. He was a member of Southern Methodist Church of Waynesboro. He retired as a Nuclear Medical Technologist at Gulfport Memorial Hospital. Mr. Smith is preceded in death by his parents, Leslie and Opal Smith; son-in-law, Jeff Stephenson; two sisters, Erma Gilreath, Norma Brashears; grandson, Lucas Smith. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Cathy Smith of Waynesboro, MS; son, Donald Smith, Jr. (Robin) of Niles, OH; two daughters, Paula Stephenson of Warren, OH, Kristie Harrison (Jeremy) of Hattiesburg, MS; sister, June Warden (Jimmy) of Gulfport, MS; nine grandchildren, Caitlyn, Alex, Addison, Danny, James, Trey, Jaxon, Makenzie, and Hannah; two great grandchildren, Waylon and Westen. Visitation for Mr. Smith will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Monday, April 17, 2023 at Southern Methodist Church of Waynesboro in Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, April 17, 2023 at Southern Methodist Church of Waynesboro in Waynesboro, MS with Rev. Tommy Davis officiating. Interment will be in Shirley Place Cemetery in Wayne County, MS.
