Mr. David Duane Varner, 69, of Buckatunna, MS passed away Saturday, March 18, 2023 at his residence. He was born in Jackson, MS on Friday, September 18, 1953 to Sydney Duane Varner and Catherine Laverne Varner. He served in the United States Army and had worked as a Truckdriver. Mr. Varner is preceded in death by his wife, Cathy Rene Varner; father, Sydney Duane Varner and mother, Catherine Laverne Varner; brother, Gerry Dean Varner. He is survived by his daughter, Serena Fox (Tim), Buckatunna, MS; brother, Terry Glen Varner, Brandon, MS; sister, Pamela Cade, Brandon, MS; 2 grandchildren, Kayla Hopkins, Ellisville, MS, John Wesley Hopkins, Pass Christian, MS. Visitation for Mr. David will be held from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM, Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at White House Cemetery in Waynesboro, MS with Jesse Rabourn officiating.
