Mrs. Daisy Virginia Beard, 94, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at her residence in Waynesboro, MS surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Wayne County, MS on Thursday, September 13, 1928 to the late Benjamin Gardiner Holston, I and Alma M. (Bonner) Holston. She was a member of Waynesboro First United Methodist Church. She worked as a Nurse (LPN) at Wayne General Hospital. Mrs. Beard is preceded in death by her husband, Andrew McRae Beard, Sr.; father, Benjamin Gardiner Holston, I; mother, Alma M. Holston; four brothers, Christopher Holston, B. G. Holston, Harry Lloyd Holston, Julian Holston; four sisters, Helen King, Mary Louise Cochran, Eva Mae Dearmon, Ruth Clanton. She is survived by her son, Andrew M. Beard, Jr.; three daughters, Ann Trigg (Jimmy), Donna Doherty (Steven), Kristy Cook (Gary); sister, Alma Pearl McRae all of Waynesboro, MS; 9 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren. Graveside Service for Mrs. Beard will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, September 15, 2022 at Hebron Cemetery in Wayne County, MS with Rev. Randy Cooley officiating.
