Mr. Curtis O’dell "Dale" Pope, 59, of State Line, MS passed from this life Tuesday, November 3, 2026, at Asbury Hospice House in Hattiesburg, MS. He was born in Waynesboro, MS on Monday, November 14, 1966, to the late Curtis Wayne Pope and Mary Alice Pope. He worked as a self-employed mason.

   Mr. Pope is survived by his loving wife, Mary Adell Brewer; three sons, Michael Pope (Kristina), Michael Duncan, and Robert Brewer (Ashley); two daughters, Megan Starling and Mildred Elizabeth Pope; three brothers, Daniel Pope, Carl Pope, and Jerry Pope; three sisters, Barbara Landrum, Annette Mazingo, and Genice Caten; a host of grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

   Visitation for Mr. Pope will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Saturday, November 7, 2026, at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS 39367. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, November 8, 2026, at Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro, MS with Rev. Mike Chatham officiating. Interment will be in Eret Cemetery in Wayne County, MS.
