Mr. Curtis Wayne "Curt" Pitts, 78, of Clara, MS passed from this life Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Waynesboro, MS on Monday, September 16, 1946, to the late Curtis Pitts and Mattie "Tess" Carter. Mr. Pitts served in the United States National Guard. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He retired as a Heavy Equipment Operator and Purchasing Agent for T. K. Stanley Inc. Mr. Curt will be remembered by his loving family for his love of music, playing guitar, hunting, fishing, and spending time with family and friends.
Mr. Pitts is preceded in death by his mother, Mattie "Tess" Carter; father, Curtis Pitts. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Jean Holley Pitts; daughter, Donna Jean Pitts Stevens (Mike), both of Clara, MS; sister, Wanda Freeman (Ken) of Pearland, TX; two grandsons, Brandon Wayne Stevens (Taylor) and Matthew Aaron Stevens (Karleigh), both of Clara, MS; two great grandchildren, Bryson Wayne Stevens and Addison Holley Stevens; a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Mr. Pitts will be held from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Thursday, April 17, 2025, at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, April 17, 2025, at Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro, MS with Rev. Paul Harris officiating. Interment will be in White House Cemetery in Waynesboro, MS.
