Ms. Cornelia Mae Hickmon, 69, of Laurel, MS passed from this life Sunday, July 2, 2023 at Wayne General Hospital in Waynesboro, MS surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Waynesboro, MS on Saturday, August 22, 1953 to the late Talmadge and Myrtle Hickmon. She retired as a Certified Nursing Assistant at the Charity Hospital in Laurel, MS. Ms. Hickmon is preceded in death by her parents, Talmadge and Myrtle Hickmon; two brothers, Gaston Hickmon, T. C. Hickmon; Brother-In-Law, James Hodge; Sister-In-Law, Angie Hickmon. She is survived by two brothers, Tommy Hickmon (Kendra), Donald Hickmon; three sisters, Carolyn Hodge, all of Laurel, MS, Juanita Langley (David), Terri Carey (Craig), both of Waynesboro, MS; Sister-In-Law, Karen Hickmon of Laurel, MS; a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family. Visitation for Ms. Hickmon will be held from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro, MS with Rev. Bart Whitehead officiating. Interment will be in Strengthford Congregational Cemetery in Wayne County, MS. Pallbearers are Dwayne Newsome, Tony Hickmon, Cameron Stewart, Tyler Hickmon, Craig Carey, and Martin Sumrall.
