Mrs. Connie Cecile "NaNa" Walley, 81, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Monday, July 7, 2025, at her residence. She was born in Waynesboro, MS on Tuesday, February 22, 1944, to the late Willie and Ed Jones. She was a member of Clara First Church of God. She worked at The Lolly Pop Shop and operated a child daycare center in her home for 19 years.
Mrs. Walley is preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Walley; father, Ed Jones; mother, Willie Jones; daughter, Pam Walley; great grandson, Austin Brewer; two brothers, Jimmie Jones and Frankie Jones; three sisters, Christine Peterson, Bobbie Standard, and Patricia Langley. She is survived by her son, Mitchell Walley (Susan), Auburn, AL; two daughters, Wanda Cone, Richton, MS, Rhonda McCarty (Jeffery), Waynesboro, MS; two brothers, Grant Jones, Sallis, MS, Billy Joe Jones (Barbara), Buckatunna, MS; sister, Etta Lee Gordon, Waynesboro, MS; six grandchildren, Greg Cone (Lacey), Chadd McCarty (Tasha), Todd Walley, Heather Brewer (Cyle), Tonia McLaughlin (Matt), Tiffany Mosley (Zach); 14 great grandchildren, Gracie Brewer, Ryder McCarty, Ramsie McCarty, Tate McCarty, Laynee Mosley, Tucker Cone, Braden Brewer, Daycie Mosley, Trent Cone, Jaxen Brewer, Chadley McCarty, Molly Mosley, Easton McLaughlin, Avie McLaughlin; a host of family and friends.
Visitation for Mrs. Walley will be held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, July 10, 2025, at Clara First Church of God in Clara, MS with Rev. Chris Cooper officiating. Interment will be in White House Cemetery in Waynesboro, MS. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Paige Freeman and Arlenda Fields with Wayne General Hospice, and Erin Waite for their kind, loving, and compassionate care shown to our NaNa.
