Mrs. Clara Sims, 88, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Tuesday, November 30, 2021 in Laurel, MS. She was born in Laurel on Saturday, July 15, 1933 to Howard Houston and Birdie Elizabeth Houston. She was a member of Community Southern Methodist Church and was a Homemaker. Mrs. Clara is preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Sims; father, Howard Houston; mother, Birdie Elizabeth Houston; and sister, Beatrice Helferfinger. She is survived by two sons, Howard Holifield (Leesanne), Ellisville, MS, Charles Holifield (Deborah), Waynesboro, MS; daughter, Clara Janice Walters (John), Laurel, MS; 8 Grandchildren, 22 Great Grandchildren, and 1 Great Great Grandchild. A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at Fedora Cemetery in Waynesboro, MS with Rev. Roger Douglas officiating. Pallbearers are John Walters, Jessie Walters, Tommy Holifield, Tyler Hopkins, Charles Holifield, Jr., Chris Hudson.
