Mrs. Chris Young Roberts, 86, of State Line, MS passed from this life Sunday, June 11, 2023 at Wayne General Hospital in Waynesboro, MS. She was born in Waynesboro, MS on Saturday, September 5, 1936 to the late Nathan and Bessie Henderson. She was a member of State Line First Baptist Church. She retired as an Associate at Wal Mart. Mrs. Roberts is preceded in death by her first husband, John Edward Young; second husband, Prince Roberts; parents, Nathan and Bessie Henderson; brother, Bill Henderson; sister, Jean Young Sellers. She is survived by her two sons, Glenn Young (Shirley), Terry Young (Charlotte); four grandchildren, Patience Young (O D), Jared Young (Staci), all of State Line, MS, Jon Young (Sarah) of St. Paul, VA, Jeremy Young of State Line, MS; nine great grandchildren, Tyler, Ashton, Tevin, Dayten, Noah, Landon, Karra, Lydia, and Bria; Sister-In-Law, Nellie Ruth Henderson of Fruitdale, AL; a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation for Mrs. Roberts will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro, MS with Rev. Michael Stevenson officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Waynesboro, MS.
