Mr. Charles DeWayette Gardner, 56, of Buckatunna, MS passed from this life Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at his residence. He was born in Mobile, AL on Thursday, December 25, 1969, to Charles Ted Gardner and Janice Faye Jordan Gardner. He worked as a driller in the Oil Field.

   Mr. Gardner is preceded in death by his mother, Janice Faye Wolff; Son-In-Law, Dustin Williams; stepfather, Don Wolff. He is survived by his father, Charles Ted Gardner (Joanna); two daughters, Brittany Williams, all of Buckatunna, MS and Ellyanna Grayce Burrus of Millry, AL; brother, Joseph Ted Gardner; sisters, Hailey Ina Gardner and Heather Gardner; three grandchildren, Kavie Williams, David Ringer, and Kinsley Ringer.

   Visitation for Mr. Gardner will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Sunday, May 17, 2026, at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, May 18, 2026, at Zion Rest Cemetery in Buckatunna, MS with Rev. Chip Phillips officiating. Interment will be in Zion Rest Cemetery in Buckatunna, MS.
