Mrs. Carolyn J. Shirley, 79, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Monday, September 12, 2022 at Wayne General Hospital in Waynesboro, MS surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Shubuta, MS (Wayne County) on Thursday, January 14, 1943 to the late Woodrow and Edith Davis. She was a member of Abundant Life Church. She worked in public health care as a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA). Mrs. Shirley is preceded in death by her husband, Harry Shirley, Jr.; parents, Woodrow and Edith Davis. She is survived by her two sons, Timothy Shirley, Charles Shirley (Angie); two daughters, Kristy Holifield all of Waynesboro, MS, Angela "Cookie" Shirley of Portland, OR; sister, Mary Anne Walker of Waynesboro, MS; 7 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 1 niece. A private Memorial Service Mrs. Shirley will be held by her family. Interment will be in Waller Ridge Cemetery in Wayne County, MS.
