Mrs. Carol Jordan, 74, of Buckatunna, MS passed from this life Monday, May 1, 2023 at her residence in Buckatunna, MS. She was born in Waynesboro, MS on Monday, December 6, 1948 to the late Ted and Gladys Gardner. She was a member of Pine Grove Freewill Baptist Church. She retired as a Bus Driver from Wayne County School System. Mrs. Jordan is preceded in death by her parents, Ted and Gladys Gardner; daughter, Jimmie Carol O'neal; two brothers, Dennis Gardner, Wayne Gardner; sister, Shirley Lofton. She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Jim T. "Jimmy" Jordan of Buckatunna, MS; two daughters, Denise Walley (Dale) of Buckatunna, MS, Jeanean Cartwright (Ricky) of State Line, MS; two brothers, Charles Gardner of State Line, MS, Ralph Gardner (Bess) of Buckatunna, MS; six sisters, Vermel Andrews (Fred) of Buckatunna, MS, Dorothy Brewer (Hilton) of Millry, AL, Vera Merrill, Mary "Tilly" Lofton, both of Waynesboro, MS, Debbie Bayles of Buckatunna, MS, Sharon Dearmon (Hilton) of Millry, AL; eight grandchildren, Hayley Cochran (Deke) of Buckatunna, MS, Caleb Cartwright of State Line, MS, Chase Harris, Hunter Walley (Allison), both of Buckatunna, MS, Laken Guy (Justin) of Waynesboro, MS, Jaylin Toomey (James) of Millry, AL, Chloe Cartwright of State Line, MS, Harrison Walley of Buckatunna, MS; four great grandchildren, Paisley Cochran, Easton Cochran, Tuff Guy, Jaycee Toomey. Visitation for Mrs. Jordan will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at Pine Grove Freewill Baptist Church, Chicora, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, May 4, 2023 at Pine Grove Freewill Baptist Church, Chicora, MS with Rev. Jim Koen and Rev. Bryan Jordan officiating. Interment will be in Zion Rest Cemetery in Buckatunna, MS.
