Bro. Chad Carney, 54, of Findlay, OH went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 8, 2026, at Blanchard Valley Hospital in Findlay, OH. He was born in Laurel, MS on Tuesday, September 28, 1971, to the late Mack and Cheryl Carney. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church of Findlay, OH. Bro. Chad was a devoted preacher of the gospel who faithfully pastored many churches throughout Mississippi, Alabama, and Ohio. His life was marked by a deep love for God, a heart for people, and a calling he took seriously. Wherever he served, he poured himself into preaching the Word of God, shepherding congregations, and encouraging others in their faith. Known for his commitment to ministry and his willingness to go wherever God led, Bro. Chad touched countless lives through his preaching, leadership, and compassion. His legacy lives on in the churches he pastored, the people he mentored, and the many souls he pointed toward Christ. He will be remembered for his faithfulness, his servant's heart, and his unwavering dedication to his calling. Bro. Chad is preceded in death by his parents, Mack and Cheryl Carney. Bro. Chad is survived by his wife of 31 years, Schlee Busby Carney; five children, Maegan Evilsizor (Mason), Mallary Greer (Dustin), Madalynn Carney, Brady Carney, and Allison Carney, all of Findlay, OH. He was a loving Papa to eight amazing grandchildren, Macklyn & Myles Evilsizor, Veda, Darren, Trina, Leeland, & CJ Greer, and Isabella Carney; three sisters, Chastity Triplett, Summor Carney, and Jennifer Carney; two special nephews, Mackenzie & Chandler Carney and their families; a host of other loving extended family, a wide community of friends, church members, and fellow ministers who will deeply miss him. Visitation for Bro. Chad will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, February 19, 2026, at Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro, MS with Rev. Mitchell Smith officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Shubuta, MS. Pallbearers are Brady Carney, Dustin Greer, Mason Evilsizor, Bruce Beckham, Darrell Carney, Billy Carney, and Daniel Carney. In lieu of flowers the family ask that Gideon Bibles be purchased in Bro. Chad's name to continue his legacy of spreading the gospel of his savior and redeemer Jesus Christ.
