Mrs. Bobbie Barr, 71, of Buckatunna, MS passed from this life Friday, August 30, 2024 at SAAD Hospice in Mobile, AL. She was born in Houston, TX on Tuesday, January 6, 1953 to Robert Earl Herren and Rose Herren. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Barr is preceded in death by her father and mother Robert and Rose Herren; son, Darryl Jones; sisters, Cathy Herren, Bonita Herren, Helena Herren; and brother, Richard Herren. She is survived by her husband of 23 years, Mr. William G. Barr, Buckatunna, MS; daughter, Cherryl (Corey) Ortego, Breaux Bridge, LA; sons, Michael (Gina) Hill, Baton Rouge, LA. James Hill, AZ; step daughter, Rebecca (William) Barr, West Monroe, LA; sisters, Paula Drummond, of Clevland, TX, and Brenda Kulman, of Houston, TX; grandchildren, Amanda, Jessica, Holly, Jordan, Matthew, Mari, Lauren, Frankie, Patrick, Tommy, Kari, Brandon, James Jr., Gunell, Christena, Skyler, Sharon, Matthew, and ten great-grandchildren. Visitation for Mrs. Barr will be held from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Saturday, September 7, 2024 at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, September 7, 2024 at Freeman Funeral Home with Bro. Paul Laurent officiating. Interment will be in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Buckatunna, MS.
