Mrs. Billie Sue Patterson, 83, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at Guardian Angel III in Ellisville, MS. She was born in Wayne County, MS on Friday, December 5, 1941, to the late William "Bill" and Mary Langley Burgess. She retired as a leather cutter at Wells Lamont Glove Factory in Waynesboro, MS.

Mrs. Patterson is preceded in death by her husband, Willie H. Patterson; parents, William "Bill" and Mary Langley Burgess; grandson, Derek Cochran; 5 brothers and 7 sisters. She is survived by her two daughters, Teressa D. Wooten and Melinda S. Cochran (Woody), both of Waynesboro, MS; brother, Donnie Burgess (Bonnie); five grandchildren, Jared D. Hendry, Destin Colby Hendry (Elizabeth), Dexter Cochran, Deke Cochran (Hayley), and Dakota Touchstone; a host of great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation for Mrs. Patterson will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Saturday, October 11, 2025, at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM Sunday, October 12, 2025, at Boyles Chapel Cemetery in Waynesboro, MS with Rev. Deke Cochran and Rev. Thomas Cochran officiating. Interment will be in Boyles Chapel Cemetery in Waynesboro, MS.
