Mrs. Beverly Inell Waites, 74, of Hattiesburg, MS passed from this life Sunday, May 12, 2024, at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, MS. She was born in Waynesboro, MS on Sunday, January 8, 1950, to the late Lewis and Inell Pitts. Growing up she was a member of Maynor Creek Assembly of God Church. She retired as a teacher's assistant for the Hattiesburg Public School System. Mrs. Waites is preceded in death by her parents, Lewis and Inell Pitts; sister, Carolyn Livingston. She is survived by her daughter, Kimberley Black (Eric); granddaughter, Erica Pilgrim (Ronnie); great grandson, Drew "Drew Drew" Pilgrim; brother, Travis Pitts (Wilma), all of Ellisville, MS; three sisters, Elizabeth Freeman of Waynesboro, MS, Janell Shows (Bobby) of Soso, MS, Alicia Kay Butler of Eucutta, MS; a host of nieces and nephews; special friends, Audrey Cooper, Evelyn Cascio, Keith, Jennifer, Alexis, William, and Keith Carter, Andy, Janie, Caleb, Anna Bella, and Allen Davis, Irene Stuart. Visitation for Mrs. Waites will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, May 16, 2024, at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, May 17, 2024, at Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro, MS with Rev. Mike Street and Keith Carter officiating. Interment will be in Maynor Creek Cemetery in Waynesboro, MS.
