Mrs. Barbara H. Jones, 77, of Millry, AL passed from this life Monday, June 24, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Copeland, AL on Friday, October 18, 1946, to the late Edward and Nacie Heathcock. She was a faithful and devoted member of Red Creek Church of God. She retired as owner and operator of Copeland Grocery. She will always be remembered for serving her community by cooking and baking for the sick, elderly, church, and family.

Mrs. Jones is preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Nacie Heathcock; sister, Jenny Hayes. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 61 years, Gene Jones of Millry, AL; three daughters, Tammy Hayes (Darrell) of Millry, AL, Darlene Young (Robert) of Semmes, AL, Jeanine Clements (Doug) of Millry, AL; two sisters, Charlotte Beasley (Terry) of Spanish Fort, AL, Diane Brown of Millry, AL; eight grandchildren, Josh Hayes (Elizabeth), Casey Hayes (Shanna), Whitney Broadus (Mark), Jason Young (Bridgette), Rusty Young (Angel), Garrett McIlwain (Tara), Sawyer McIlwain (Taylor), and Casey Clements (Courtney); 14 great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; special friend, Versie Sullivan.

Visitation for Mrs. Jones will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Friday, June 28, 2024, at Copeland Assembly of God Church in Millry, AL. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, June 29, 2024, at Copeland Assembly of God Church in Millry, AL with Rev. Steve Watts, Rev. Ronnie Morris, and Rev. Jimmie Butts officiating. Interment will be in Jones-Hill Cemetery in Millry, AL.
