Mrs. Barbara G. "Bobbie" McCarty, 84, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Sunday, March 16, 2025, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Waynesboro, MS on Saturday, January 11, 1941, to the late James A. Cochran and Ruby Lee Beard. She was a member of Little Rock Assembly of God Church. She retired as a seamstress at Wells Lamont. Her family will always remember her as being the best wife, mom, and grandmother. Mrs. McCarty is preceded in death by her mother, Ruby Lee Beard; father, James A. Cochran; two brothers, Jimmy Cochran and Charles Adams; two sisters, Linda Cox and Alice Scarbrough; great granddaughter, McKenzye McCarty. She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, William Clifford McCarty; two sons, Craig McCarty (Vanessa) and Tillmon McCarty (Regina); daughter, Amanda Parker (Robert), all of Waynesboro, MS; brother, Dennis Cochran of Mobile, AL; two sisters, Martha Morris (Roy) of Mobile, AL and Kathie Abercrombie (Terry) of Taylorsville, MS; nine grandchildren, Matthew McCarty (Joslin), Ryan McCarty (Megan), Bridgette Jordan (Jeremy), Corey McCarty (Christy), Alex McCarty, Reggie Parker (Camille), Lakisha West (Robert), Brandi Freeman (Dustin), and Brianna Smith (Kaleb); 20 great grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews. A public Graveside Service for Mrs. McCarty will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at Little Rock Cemetery in Waynesboro, MS with Rev. Ryan Powers and Rev. Bruce Cooley officiating. Interment will be in Little Rock Cemetery in Waynesboro, MS.
