Mrs. Audrey M. Bishop, 91, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Saturday, January 25, 2025, at Wayne General Hospital in Waynesboro, MS. She was born in Choctaw County, AL on Saturday, December 9, 1933, to the late Mary Merle and Henry Arrington. She was a member of Aquilla Community Church and attended Calvery Baptist Church. Mrs. Bishop loved being a homemaker to spend time with her family. She enjoyed taking the senior bus trips, traveling all over the United States along with her friend Louise Wells. She enjoyed being with her family and playing Bingo but really loved it when she was able to talk her closest family members into taking her to play. She liked visiting the courtroom in session while watching her husband practice law as an attorney. Mrs. Bishop is preceded in death by her husband, Louie M. Bishop; parents, Mary Merle and Henry Arrington; infant daughter; stepson, Travis Bishop; stepdaughter, Linda Carol Fitzner; two brothers, Prentiss Paul Arrington and Henry Lewis Arrington; sister, Linda Mitchum; nephew, Tracy Brown. She is survived by her son, Ronnie Dale Bishop of Waynesboro, MS; two daughters, Laura Sullivan of Waynesboro, MS and Brenda Bishop Grant (Jay) of Mendham, NJ; stepson, Don Bishop (Nancy) of Waynesboro, MS; two brothers, Donnie Arrington (Sharon) of Silas, AL and E. C. Arrington of Aquilla, AL; two sisters, Patsy Burnett of Aquilla, AL and Carol Brown of Waynesboro, MS; ten grandchildren, Tina Chisholm (Ed), Sacha Hall (Jehu), Alexis Grant Heilbron (David), Danielle Grant Fernandes (Matt), Robin Reynolds, Michael Grant, Mark Bishop (Kaye), Brian Bishop (Rachel), Chris Bishop (Lori), and Rechell Bishop; a host of great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Visitation for Mrs. Bishop will be held from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro, MS with Rev. Michael Gunn officiating. Interment will be in Aquilla Cemetery in Aquilla, AL. The family wants to share their gratitude to Rosie McDougle for being a lifelong friend and caretaker for many years. Pallbearers are Durant Arrington, Tab Arrington, Riley Rives, Jaden Hall, Jeff Reynolds, Robin Pitts. Honorary Pallbearers are Brian Bishop, Rechell Bishop, Chris Bishop, Mark Bishop, Trey Batt.
