Mr. Arvis Edward Hinton, 84, of Pearl, MS passed from this life Sunday, July 4, 2021 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, MS. He was born in Waynesboro on Friday, December 25, 1936 to Arvis H. Hinton and Annie Hinton. He was retired from the Mississippi Forestry Commission. He also served in the United States Air Force and was a Veteran. His favorite pastime was having his morning coffee with friends at Hardee's. Mr. Hinton is preceded in death by his father, Arvis H. Hinton; mother, Annie Hinton; Daughter-In-Law, Jennifer D. Hinton; sister, Bonnie H. Dearman. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Sallie Evans Hinton, Pearl, MS; two sons, Larry Edward Hinton, Saucier, MS, Kevin Wayne Hinton, Pearl, MS; two sisters, Louise Overstreet, Biloxi, MS, Betty Davis, Gulfport, MS; two grandchildren, Nicholas J. Hinton, Taylor B. Hinton; two great grandchildren, Brock M. Hinton, Paisley B. Walker. Visitation for Mr. Hinton will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Thursday, July 8, 2021 at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, July 8, 2021 at Freeman Funeral Home with Rev. Charlie Laird officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers are Ryan Crane, Stacy Lassiter, Scott Lassiter, Jay Dixon, Kevin Chance, and Brock Hinton. Honorary Pallbearers are Buford Jones and sons, Jim Pace, Lamar Switzer, Bill Gardner, Pete Evans, and Massey Lassiter.
