Ms. April Dawn Enterkin, 37, of Buckatunna, MS passed from this life Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS. She was born in Laurel, MS on Tuesday, May 21, 1985 to David Enterkin and Jillanna Mitchell. She was a member of Philadelphia Baptist Church. She worked as a Correctional Officer at Wayne County Sheriff's Department. Ms. Enterkin is preceded in death by her step mother, Lawanna Enterkin; step father, Arthur J. Powe. She is survived by her father, David Enterkin; mother, Jillanna Mitchell (Joe), both of Buckatunna, MS; son, Christian Tate Jordan of Kokomo, MS; three daughters, Tiffany Nichole Holifield, Sierra Grace Jordan, Desma Reece Jordan, all of Waynesboro, MS; brother, Scott Enterkin (Terrell) of Buckatunna, MS; step sister, Jessica Stephens (Devin) of Knoxville, TN; two step brothers, Michael Mitchell of Slidell, LA, Jamone Mitchell (Tracy) of Thomaston, AL; grandson, Bryer Napier. Visitation for Ms. Enterkin will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Friday, May 12, 2023 at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, May 13, 2023 at Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro, MS with Rev. Darron Chapman, Rev. Jake Robinson, Rev. Steve Watts officiating. Interment will be in Red Creek Cemetery in Wayne County, MS.
