Mrs. Annie M. Wells, 90, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at Wayne General Hospital in Waynesboro, MS. She was born in Shubuta, MS on Friday, January 8, 1932 to the late Hal Jessamine Herron and Carrie Elizabeth (Evans) Herron. She was a member of Community Southern Methodist Church. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Wells is preceded in death by her husbands, Oliver Randolph McIlwain, Sanford Dudley Wells; parents, Hal Jessamine and Carrie Elizabeth Herron; brother, Cecil Herron; sister, Marie Freeman. She is survived by her two sons, Randy McIlwain (Pam), John McIlwain (LaTonia); six daughters, Myrna Story, LuAnn Doby, all of Waynesboro, MS, Susan Kennedy (Dale) of Tremont, MS, Lori Bayne, Tammy McRae, Melanie Taylor (Scott), all of Waynesboro, MS; stepdaughter, Linda Cushing (Jack) of Greenville, SC; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. Visitation for Mrs. Wells will be held from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, December 8, 2022 at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, December 9, 2022 at Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro, MS with Rev. Noel Gandy and Rev. Roger Douglas officiating. Interment will be in Community Southern Methodist Cemetery in Waynesboro, MS. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
