Mr. Alton Hugh "Jack" Mills, 82, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Saturday, April 16, 2022 at Wayne General Hospital. He was born in Waynesboro on Saturday, November 4, 1939 to Adolphus Mills and Gertrude Mills. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He retired from Hood Industries. Mr. Jack is preceded in death by his father, Adolphus Mills; mother, Gertrude Mills; sister, Zella Wayne Mills Singleterry. He is survived by his wife of 61 Years, Betty Mills; son, Alton Joe Mills (Brenda), Waynesboro, MS; daughter, Robin Mills Hudson (Spence), Hattiesburg, MS; brother, David Mills, Stafford, VA; sister, Shirley Weaver, Waynesboro, MS; four grandchildren, Breck Mills (Loren), Waynesboro, MS, Reid Hudson (Sarah), Jackson, MS, Winston Hudson, Punta Gorda, FL, Luke Hudson, Hattiesburg, MS; two great grandchildren, Jase Mills, Dawson Mills, both of Waynesboro, MS. Visitation for Mr. Jack will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at Freeman Funeral Home with Rev. Mitchell Smith and Rev. Paul Harris officiating. Interment will be in White House Cemetery in Waynesboro, MS. Pallbearers are Breck Mills, Dennis Singleterry, Dana Singleterry, Reid Hudson, Winston Hudson, Luke Hudson.
