Mr. Alton Cason, 76, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Friday, July 10, 2026, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Birmingham, AL on Saturday, August 6, 1949. He retired as a bucksaw operator at Hood Industries.

   Mr. Cason is preceded in death by his son, Randal Cason; mother, Kate Cason; three brothers and one sister. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Sammie Cason; son, Ben Cason (Maria), all of Waynesboro, MS; daughter, Rachel Lindsey (Tommy) of Aquilla, AL; five grandchildren, Megan Welch (Kyle), Gage Cason (Lia), Grant Cason (Josie), Brooklyn Gray (Dylan), and Paxton Cason; two great grandchildren, Lucas Welch and Laramie Cason.

   A Graveside Service for Mr. Cason will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, July 11, 2026, at Keahey Cemetery, Rainwater Drive in Waynesboro, MS 39367 with Rev. Buddy Jones officiating. Interment will be in Keahey Cemetery in Waynesboro, MS.
