Mrs. Alice M. "Coonie" Tiner, 63, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Friday, February 6, 2026, at Merit Health Wesley in Hattiesburg, MS. She was born in New Orleans, LA on Thursday, June 21, 1962, to Carl Edward Henderson and Alice Faye Henderson. She retired from the United States Postal Service as a rural mail carrier in State Line and Buckatunna. Mrs. Tiner is preceded in death by her father, Carl Edward Henderson; brother, Mitchell Henderson. She is survived by her loving husband, Howard "Hal" Tiner, Jr. of Waynesboro, MS; mother, Alice Faye Henderson of Chicora, MS; two children she raised as her own, Amber Evans (Mitchell) and Austin Henderson, all of  Chicora, MS; two step sons, Christopher Daniel Tiner of Waynesboro, MS and Ryan Joshua Tiner of Hattiesburg, MS; grandson, Samuel Andrew Tiner of Waynesboro, MS; granddaughter, Jasmine Tiner of Eret, MS; step granddaughter, Jaelynn Bonner of Waynesboro, MS; great grandson, Treyson Hagan; two brothers, Steve Butler of Hattiesburg, MS and Ottis Carl Henderson of Chicora, MS; sister, Carlene Dickerson of Hattiesburg, MS; Brother-In-Law, Larry Dale Tiner of Waynesboro, MS; special nephew, Jared Henderson of State Line, MS; a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation for Mrs. Tiner will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Monday, February 9, 2026, at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro, MS with Rev. Mitchell Smith officiating. Interment will be in Arrington Cemetery in Waynesboro, MS.
