Mr. Albert R. Shirah, Sr., 83, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at Pine View Health and Rehabilitation in Waynesboro, MS. He was born in Waynesboro, MS on Sunday, July 5, 1942, to Alfred Shirah and Geneva Langhauser. Mr. Shirah served in the United States Navy and was a Veteran of Vietnam. He retired as a Mechanic at Rainbow Oldsmobile.

Mr. Shirah is preceded in death by his father, Alfred Shirah; mother, Geneva Langhauser; stepmother, Allean Shirah; stepfather, Hank Langhauser; two brothers, Timothy Shirah and Infant Brother Shirah. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Bonnie Jean Shirah; son, Albert R. Shirah, Jr. (KyLeigh), all of Waynesboro, MS; daughter, Hazel Camardelle (Jay) of Gretna, LA; three siblings, Alton Shirah, Anthony Shirah, and Tamsey Cochran, all of Louisiana; nine grandchildren, Jenifer Donham (Mike), Shelly Grubb (Zach), Joshua Rivet (Niki), Destiny Wylie (Dallas), Albert Shirah, III (Mackenzie), Meorie Johnson (Drake), Parker Knotts (Joshua), Heidi Odom, and Alex Odom; 13 great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Mr. Shirah will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Friday, July 25, 2025, at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, July 26, 2025, at Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro, MS with Dr. Steve Smith officiating. Interment will be in Corinth Free Will Baptist Cemetery in Wayne County, MS.
