Mr. A. J. McLain, 31, of Millry, AL passed from this life Monday, October 10, 2022 in Savannah, GA. He was born in Hattiesburg, MS on Saturday, April 27, 1991. He graduated from Millry High School Class of 2010. He worked in Shipping and Receiving in the Construction Industry. Mr. A. J. is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Sundra Smith; paternal grandparents, Frank A. and Sonja Dyess. He is survived by his mother, Melinda S. Dyess; father, Darwin Dyess, both of Millry, AL; Kevin McLain of Richton, MS; sister, McKenzie Dyess; brother, Alec Dyess both of Millry, AL; half-brother, Aiden McLain of West Point, MS; two half-sisters, Rachel McLain of West Point, MS, Emma McLain of Richton, MS; maternal grandfather, J. D. Smith; paternal grandparents, Cowan and Marsha McLain all of Richton, MS; a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins. Visitation for Mr. A. J. will be held from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Monday, October 17, 2022 at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, October 17, 2022 at Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro, MS with Rev. Jim Koen officiating and Dalton Tate and A. J. Tate speaking. Interment will be in Hickory Grove Cemetery in Wayne County, MS. Pallbearers are A. J. Tate, Dylan Whitsett, Dalton Tate, Hunter Martin, Josh Mims, Alec Dyess, Paige Tesnow, and Caleb Kirkland.
