Mr. W. C. Pitts, 87, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Thursday, December 28, 2017 at South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel. He was born in Wayne County on Friday, January 17, 1930 to Charlie and Annie May Davis Pitts. He was a member of Maynor Creek Assembly of God Church. Mr. W. C. servd in the U. S. Navy and was a Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He served Wayne County and outlying areas for 55 years as owner and operator of  W. C. Pitts Construction. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Ida Faye Pitts; father, Charlie Pitts and mother, Annie May Pitts; 2 daughters, Sue Vanosdol, Pamela Pitts Jones Shima; 2 Brothers & 2 Sisters. Mr. W. C. is survived by his wife, Betty J. Pitts, Waynesboro, MS; son, Billy Pitts, Waynesboro, MS; brother, Ed Pitts, Waynesboro, MS; 2 sisters, Norma Palmer, Laurel, MS, Jean Shoemaker, Laurel, MS; a host of Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, Great-Great Grandchildren, and Other Relatives and Friends. Visitation for Mr. W. C. will be held from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, Friday, December 29, 2017 at Maynor Creek Assembly of God Church, 5542 Highway 84, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, December 29, 2017 at Maynor Creek Assembly of God Church with Rev. Marvin Griffin and Rev. Kenny Morris officiating. Interment will be in Maynor Creek Cemetery.
