Mr. Stephen Michael Shelton, Sr., 74, of Pflugerville, TX passed from this life Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Round Rock, TX. He was born in Carthage, MS on Saturday, February 17, 1945 to T. A. Shelton and Annie Rodgers Shelton. He was a dedicated member of Ole Time Way Baptist Church in Cullman, AL where he served as a deacon. He was a former Mississippi State Highway Patrolman and retired as a commercial truck driver. Mr. Shelton is preceded in death by his father, T. A. Shelton; mother, Annie Rodgers Shelton; brother, Johnny Dare Shelton. He is survived by his loving Wife, Gloria Conner Shelton, Pflugerville, TX; daughter, Stephenne Nations (Scott), Pflugerville, TX; 2 sons, Stephen Michael Shelton, Jr., Johnny Shelton (Deborah) both of Cullman, AL; 3 sisters, Fran Guillory, Crystal Springs, MS, Pat McInnis, Waynesboro, MS, Mickey Sullivan, Buckatunna, MS; 9 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren. Visitation for Mr. Shelton will be held from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Sunday, June 23, 2019 at Freeman Funeral Home, 1305 Skyland Drive, Waynesboro, MS 39367. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, June 24, 2019 at Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro, MS with Rev. Mark Ferguson officiating. Interment will be in Buckatunna Baptist Cemetery in Buckatunna, MS.
